For one, I couldn’t characterize myself as terribly happy being bored with most men (who isn’t?) and be 100% truthful. Even then, I’m not unhappy in that way, either. I just mention it in this blog as a delicious personal tidbit setting up the story I am prepared to reveal to you

A week ago today yours truly met for coffee with Trisha, considering joining a dating service for Phoenix singles. Today, I sit to the blogosphere as a surprisingly pleased member of the singles network. For real, it’s true. It’s full of fun, attractive people! If you’ve been paying attention, you may be wondering, “You totally owe me an explanation.”

Here’s how it went down, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and felt encouraged. They’re for quality and professional singles who know dating isn’t a game.

Because in all honesty I’d never been interested in what serial daters (ie: everyone I know) so aptly entitled “The Dating Game.” I got it more than you know. Each night they ask, “You’re still single? ” and “You should date!”

“Nonsense,” I say to them, without missing a beat. “Have you seen what’s out there?”

“Not true,” they level with me. “You haven’t dated in a year, you wouldn’t know!”

Thankfully, that’s my partner in crime (on a good day) (hehe) Patty Feldman. She offers common sense directly to my core to put me back on course. Loved ones never fail for fresh advice. No countering that, and I thank her for it.

Back to the theme of this blog entry. As I browsed from more than three hundred combinations of outfits for my first singles event with Great Expectations, I realized something true. For the longest time, I hadn’t allowed myself the greatest of actual great expectations for dating and myself in the serendipitous path of life. It’s good to be single, only with healthy optimism. Having great expectations does wonders on a cynics social life.
