If You’re Still Digitizing, You Need to Read This Now!

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Still digitizing, huh? Why? If you’re still digitizing I’m guessing you either enjoy it or feel as if you have no other choice available to you. I realize there are certain individuals who get satisfaction from creating or reproducing an image by hand. The very process of plotting or punching points (also known as nodes) can be very time consuming and become a tedious job. Once you’ve completed a complex or intricate piece of artwork, it’s only natural to feel a sense of pride for a job well done!

I can remember as far back as 1982, when personal computers were just beginning to be introduced into the Awards & Engraving industry. Digitizing was painful! This was long before the development of computer aided design (CAD) software. All drawings had to be created from beginning to end with no mistakes or you had to start all over from the very beginning. You sure didn’t want the phone to ring or have a customer come through your door while in the middle of any drawing!!

A few years later we were blessed with CAD programs that enabled you to digitize logos and images much faster. Using software commands to create vectors, curves, ovals, arcs and numerous other short cut keys, allowing you to improve your work and in many cases enhancing the original artwork. Certainly one of the coolest things was being able to stop, save your work and pick up where you left off at another time. Whether it was later that day, the next day or sometime the following week. It was nice to not feel “married” to the system and be able to take a break if needed.

As computers became more and more popular, hardware and software progressed quite rapidly. It wasn’t long before people were talking about scanning and converting their raster files into vector formats. Many individuals retired their digitizing pads and began the “on screen” clean up process, believing this was their salvation from the point to point digitizing, we all thought was so nice in the beginning! Well, I must say for me it lacked the luster some were boasting of over the phone. Most all tradeshow demonstrations were what I would refer to as, “smoke and mirrors”!

Honestly I thought it was more challenging to scan and clean up my artwork as opposed to simply digitizing it from scratch. To me it was much easier and faster to continue to use CAD software and turn out a drawing that was much cleaner, with fewer points and maintained a much smaller file size. Most digitizers were (and are) concerned about the overall byte size of the finished logo. This was greatly due to the limitations of numerous proprietary systems. Forcing the digitizer to be mindful of their final output and keeping points to a minimum.

Through the years of now more than two decades, computers and software as we once knew it, has come a long, long way. We’ve all seen dozens of “state of the art” programs and hardware improvements to fill a small garage! Yet many of us still find ourselves looking for that “perfect” solution that would allow us to stop fretting over artwork.

Well, my friend … I have a solution for you. Let me give you an analogy or rather a comparison of digitizing (or scanning, it’s really all very much the same involved process), versus mowing your yard. Yep, you read it correctly … Digitizing vs. Mowing!

Think about it … just because you can mow your yard, does that mean you should? (Again, I realize some people get satisfaction and pleasure from mowing, my wife loves to mow our yard). Much like I stated at the beginning of this article. You may do it for pleasure or feel as if you’re stuck with it! You may choose to push mow with your standard hand mower or step up to a riding mower and sit comfortably within the leather seat. Either way, you’re still “married” to the task at hand.

Digitizing = Hand Mower (push from point to point)
Scanning = Riding Mower (scan across the land)

You’ve heard it and read it many times, “your time is money”. Most of us at some time or another have chosen to hire someone to do our yard work. Whether it be mowing or simply raking leaves, we’ve shuffled the chore to another individual or company. So I pose the question to you, “Why don’t you hire someone else to do your digitizing?” Choose a respectable service and send your artwork to the professionals for digitization.

With technology as advanced as it is today, you can email (or fax) your logo to the pros and have it back within 24 hours (two business days for some). This creates a win-win situation for all parties involved in the process. You win by saving time and money (remember, your time is money), not to mention the mental challenges that may arise should you continue to do everything “in house”. Your customer wins as well! They receive a top quality reproduction of their artwork in a digital format. This could and should open up more avenues for you to “lock in” their business for life. Giving you the slight edge over your competitors and versatility to create more quality products and services for your clients.

The Japanese Newest Bullet Train

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Perhaps you have not heard the Japanese now have a bullet train that exceeds 250 mph. The only problem is that takes a long time to slow down, so it doesn’t reach Top Speed on every trip or stay at those Top Speed for very long. But its speed is what you need then this bullet train is best of breed.

The previous fastest bullet trains ran at 125 miles an hour in Japan between our Osaka and Tokyo. But the French with their TGV bullet train has run at a top speed of 218 mph. But this new Japanese bullet train runs consistently at 223 mph on a daily basis with a top speed of 250 mph.

Of course in Japan, you will have to slow down quick if there is an earthquake and the Japanese have already thought about that too. The bullet train has spoilers, which come out like giant Japanese fans to break the air and slow the train down as much as 10 mph per second and back down to 55 mph, when the brakes kick in hard.

The nosecone of the bullet train is over 52 feet long in order to shape the airflows so they will streamline along the body at those high rates of speed. Engineers say that the bullet train is even more stable at high speed due to the relative wind and special shaping of the airflows. Consider this in 2006.

Mannose – Is It Just For UTI?

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Mannose: is one of the 8 Glyconutrients. It helps to build tissues and aids with communication between the cells. It assists the body in strengthening the immune system and repairing itself. Mannose helps the body produce cytokines, which fight off infections and serious diseases. It is found in the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant, which has been used for many centuries to promote the healing of wounds.

Mannose is similar in structure to glucose. It is a sugar compound made up of 6 carbon atoms. It is found in many plant polysaccharides and glycoprotein. Plant polysaccharides are also known as mannans, hence the name for this saccharide Mannose.

The liver in order to make glycoprotein absorbs mannose. It is also absorbed from the intestines walls into the blood stream and lastly into the cells. Glycoform synthesis in mammals uses dietary mannose. Mannose is readily absorbed by the body and clears within several hours. It is made into Glycoprotein in the liver, intestines, brain and even fetus.

People have been taking diet supplements for over 150 years. They were 1st given to sailors in the Royal Navy to prevent scurvy; a disease caused by lack of vitamin C. It was given in the form of lemon or lime juice, as these fruits are rich in vitamin C.

Since then other diet supplements have been developed to aid in prevention of other illnesses and for improvement of health. In 1941 the 1st RDAs were published. They were meant to be a guide for the basic nutrition intake for the public. The Food and Nutrition Board of the U.S. National Research Council published them. In Europe and Canada they publish a similar report.

Since the last 10 years scientists have been researching the carbohydrate group of foods, among them Glyconutrients. Scientists, until recently, have not given any importance to this complex group of foods but now with the advent of Glycobiology (study of Glyconutrients) research is revealing new facts about these vital nutrients.

Diet Supplements are best taken at room temperature with cold water. They will be most effective when taken this way. They are usually taken on a daily basis. It is important to take these supplements with your doctor’s advice. Supplements cannot cure diseases but they can help the body protect and heal itself better.

Taking these glyconutritional supplements will help you to improve your health and well being. In today’s busy world it is important that we try to maintain our health and we can do this with the help of supplements such as glyconutrients.

Note: Glyconutrients are not intended to heal, treat, or cure any disease.

Holiday Gifts on a Budget

Monday, July 28th, 2008

The Christmas season can be especially difficult when it
comes to finding unique, personal presents for friends and
coworkers. You spend hours shopping for the perfect gift at
a price you can afford, but everything seems either too
generic or overpriced. Never fear; there are options. The
best gifts I’ve received have often been small, unique, and
inexpensive presents created by friends who really took the
time to get to know me and find out what I would want.

One of my favorite gifts is a bowl a friend made for me
while taking a pottery class. I was constantly losing my
keys, so she made a lovely little bowl, painted it to match
my décor, and gave it to me as a Christmas gift. Thanks to
this small, inexpensive present, I scarcely ever lose my
keys, and I have a beautiful decoration.

You can do the same things for your friends. Maybe you’re
not in a pottery class, but there are many pottery stores
that allow you to paint your own piece for a small price.
There are also stores that allow you to create your own
jewelry as well. Other ideas include buying ornaments and
decorating them for your friends’ trees, or you can
decoupage a small box with photographs and it can hold
letters or trinkets. You can also hit the day after
Thanksgiving sales to find great little gifts for rock-
bottom prices.

A simple, but thoughtful idea that is often overlooked is
baking a treat for your friends. Everyone loves to get food
that they didn’t have to buy, so make a batch of cookies or
brownies to hand-deliver to your friends and colleagues.
You can also cook a dinner and throw a holiday party for
everyone. The holidays can be stressful, and people love to
have a place to go and relax.

You can also re-gift. I realize that many people find this
to be tacky or rude. However, America has one of the most
wasteful cultures of the world. A person gets tired of
something, and rather than re-gifting it or sharing it with
someone else, we tend to just throw it away. It really is
okay to re-gift something to someone if you know they would
really love it; don’t hand off junk, but if you don’t need
something anymore or it doesn’t match your décor, pass it
on to someone who will enjoy it.

Good luck with your holiday shopping, and use some of
these options to help you save money and time shopping for
your holiday gifts this season. Have a very happy holiday!

A Gift Worth Giving–Picking The Perfect Gift–Always!

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

How do you know when you’ve picked the perfect gift? Do you wait for a smile? A romantic inflection of the voice? A warm hug, and a big thank you? Isn’t that the ultimate goal? To please the people you love the most? What if there were a way to always pick the perfect gift? Well, there is…

One technique that works well at our house is the “To Buy” File. We each have one. In the file we put in pictures of what we want to have, write down titles of books, CD’s, places we want to go or workshops we’d like to experience. We put in pictures of things we only dream we’d have some day as well. Included is a wide-range of items with an equally wide range of prices. Sometimes we even include “honey do” stuff, like things we’d like to see get done around the house, a massage, or a romantic dinner at a local restaurant.

Now, when a special occasion arises (like Christmas, birthdays, or other holidays), I just go to my husband’s “To Buy” file and pick out a few things that are within my predetermined budget. To Buy Files need to be in a place where everyone can access them.

If you are anything like me, I find that I sometimes spend more money for other people than I should, even though I purchase a Christmas present or two each month throughout the year. So when someone asks me what I want, I used to automatically say, “Oh, I don’t need anything,” or I’d tell them I wanted something cheap (which I really didn’t want) because I didn’t feel like there was any money to spend.

Now I say, “Look in my, “To Buy” file.” Last fall, I took the concept a step further. I organized these items in list form on my computer putting the items I would prefer most to have most at the top of the list.

Giving is good, but spiritual development only progresses when the process goes both ways. The To Buy File is one way of asking for and getting what you really want. Let the person who is buying for you decide how much they can afford. They love you and want to please you. Don’t take that pleasure of giving away from them. Let them pamper you. You deserve it.

Get a new house with easy loan, 248384 euro in 48 hours

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 10 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. Different lenders charge different fees. A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 7 percent. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 6 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 11 percentage. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 11 percent offered by competitors will change.

Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.

So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 9 percent. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.

See which lenders are charging fees 5 percent and for how much. Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.

Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 9 percent. Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 3 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly.

Cuddle and Snuggle

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Do you love to snuggle on the sofa with your loved one.? Do you plan your time around this romantic time to cuddle and snuggle together? Do you sometimes wish the recliner would disappear when your loved one chooses it instead of you?

I am speaking to the woman in this article. I want you to think deep down into your mind and tell me you love recliners. Or do you want to touch the end of your nose like Samantha on Bewitched and the recliner will be gone?

I am speaking to you and your loved one. Don’t you love to cuddle up on the sofa while watching television or a movie? Don’t you like to snuggle up on the sofa and listen to music and just be happy sitting on the sofa next to each other? This is extremely romantic and it definitely is what women crave after their long day at work or at home.

When you have a recliner your loved one will usually choose the recliner to watch television. Men do not think like a woman. Woman love to cuddle and snuggle up against their loved one and feel protected and special. Men love their comfort and lets face it recliners are comfortable.

Maybe you could set some rules when watching television with your loved one. When you want to cuddle and feel close they can sit on the sofa and forget the comfort of the reclining chair.

Your loved one can always sit in the recliner during the day when the kids are running around. They can always sit in the recliner when you aren’t home.

See there can always be a balance. Keep your romance hot and alive with your special cuddle and snuggle time.

Recliner be gone.

Thank you for reading my article. Please feel free to read my numerous other articles on several different subjects.

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Make no mistake about it, if you simply have a good affiliate marketing program you’ll be a successful affiliate, imagine what you’d do with one of the best affiliate marketing programs.

Now I know I’m talking like they are easy to come by. Like they can be picked up off the net somewhere, even if it is for a few bucks. Actually I’m going to shock you. They’re widely available on the net and mostly they’re free. The reason why most people have never come across one of the best affiliate marketing programs is because they wouldn’t recognize it even if it hit them on the head. So a good place to start would be to start with a simple description.

The Best Affiliate Marketing Program Will Be Easy To Duplicate
The best affiliate marketing program will not only be easy for you to implement and quickly get to see the results in terms of increased revenue from your affiliate program, but it should also be easy for you and others to duplicate. The reason for this is obvious. To start with it will mean that you can quickly duplicate your success with other blogs and dozens of other affiliate programs thus dramatically and quickly increasing your affiliate revenue.

Then there is another even more profitable reason. We have been highly recommending in this blog that you choose affiliate programs that are at least two-tier at the very least, meaning that are able to earn revenue from people you introduce to the program. This revenue can be substantial because with a high traffic site, you can end up introducing hundreds and maybe even thousands of sub affiliates. Getting them to register under you will not earn you money, but their sales will and the best affiliate marketing programs will tend to be so easy to duplicate that it will be easy for your sub affiliates to succeed in large numbers thus earning you a substantial affiliate income.

The Best Affiliate Marketing Program Will Have Tasks That Have To Be Repeated Daily
Another sure sign of a winner is an affiliate marketing program having tasks that have to be repeated daily, that is exactly how the best results from any marketing program are obtained.

The Best Affiliate Marketing Program Will Be So Simple That It Will Deceive Many Who Will Not Give It A Second Glance
Most highly profitable and effective marketing systems are deceptively simple that most people miss them altogether. The best affiliate marketing programs are no exception. They will usually involve things you will have heard of before and many will not even give them a second glance. That is part of the reason why super affiliates, using the same World Wide Web we’re using and basically visiting more or less the same sites that we do, succeed right under our very noses from stuff that we tend to ignore.

By simply accessing Christopher Kyalo’s special life-changing report Sure Fire Guide To 6-figure check Affiliate Success you will be able to instantly gain passage to a highly effective affiliate link program, and one of the Best Affiliate Marketing Programs on the net.
